GLOBETROTTERS: London

The Globetrotters continue our tour through some English speaking countries! Our latest destination was the Christmassy London, in the UK. December is the best time of the year to visit this fascinating city, full of magic. After the check-in at the airport and a 2-hour trip, very entertaining thanks to the reading of "The little match girl"(HC Andersen) and "A Christmas carol" (Charles Dickens), we arrived in London and the adventure began. We didn´t know where to start, there was so much to see... Thanks to the guide book we borrowed from the library, we organised our visit and we had time to:

     - walk under the street lights in Oxford Street and Regent Street

    - do some shopping in Hamleys and Harrods

    - visit a Christmas market: Winter Wonderland, in Hyde Park

    - see the astonishing Xmas tree in Trafalgar Square, a present from Norway

    - go ice skating in the Tower of  London open air ice rink

    - enjoy a panto in the Royal Albert Hall

    - visit the Warner Bros Studios to see the Harry Potter locations

    - enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, with mince pies and scones

    - send a postcard to our friends
