BOOKWORMS CLUB: "A Christmas carol"

Do you like Christmas? Do you feel the spirit of this season? Or are you one of those who say "Bah! Humbug!"? This is what the protagonist of
"A Christmas carol" repeats all the time. This novella, written by Charles Dickens and first published in London in 1843, has become a timeless classic of this time of the year.  Yesterday, in our latest session of the Bookworms Club, we all witnessed the transformation of the greedy and selfish Ebenezer Scrooge into a kind man, after the visit of three Ghosts on Christmas Eve: the Ghost of Christmas past, the Ghost of Christmas present and the Ghost of Christmas future. You have a PPT with some facts about this story below.

Charles Dickens was a sympathiser with the poor, the suffering and the opressed, which he reflected it in his novels. Watch the video below to know a bit more about his life and his work. And make the most of your time during the holidays and visit our local library in the Elliptic Square, where you can find more books and information about this author. Here is the video that Lilí, our lovely librarian, has made specifically for our book club. Thank you so much, Lilí!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!
