BOOKWORMS: "Ma" and "Pa" Baker

Are you ready for a new adventure? This school year we are taking "The Lighthouse Way", a challenging trail from our readings to some beacons all over the world. We are accompanied by a seagull, who will be our guide along the way, and we will take a pink sea with us as a protective charm, which will bring us back home safe and sound, to finish in the magnificent Tower of Hercules.

In our first session, we started in the Pharos of Alexandria (Egypt), a legendary lighthouse built over 2,000 years ago and one of the seven wonders of the old world. After researching its legend, we will try to find his lost treasure through our readings. And the first one is "Halloween horror" by Gina BD Clemen, a story related to the Witch trials of 1692 in Salem (Massachusetts - USA). In this trip, we visited "Ma" and "Pa" Baker lighthouse, home of  2 terrifying legends. We also prepared an interactive image with our research and we got our first gem: a saphire!

You can see a photo album of our trip, our interactive image and you can follow our itinerary on this map.

And don´t miss the video that Lilí, or favourite librarian by far, prepared for this session. She is waiting for us in the library with lots of resources about this topic. Thank you so much, Lilí!

Happy readings!
