BOOKWORMS CLUB: "A new Atlantis"

This school year, we have included some readings in our book club directly related to our PDI "Mergúllate". One of them was "The tempest", by William Shakespeare, and this month we will read "A new Atlantis", by Victoria Heward, a story about one of the most fascinating mysteries of our era, Atlantis, an advanced civilisation which disappeared under the sea. How much do you know about this legend?   The first time we heard about it was in 330BC when the Greek philosopher Plato gave precise descriptions about Atlantis and its location. There are films, books and legends about this mythical place, but did it really exist? Nobody knows for sure, but we are willing to find out more about it through this month reading. Through the eyes of a slave, Ryan, and a princess, Daria, we will learn the story of its last days, before its destruction, how they built a new Atlantis and how two enemies eventually became friends.

Last Friday, the 28th of January, in our latest session of the Bookworms Club,we enjoyed the magic of Atlantis, a place with a pink sky, two moons and a Light Crystal full of energy and power. We saw the flashes of this crystal and we even took a piece of it to keep at our home, knowing that if its blue light turns grey one day, that will mean that the rains are coming...

Take a look at this video to know more about this fascinating legend and wait for the result of our findings. We will pay a visit to our favourite librarian for our research. Watch what she has prepared for us! Lilí, you are the best!!!
